This is my second year sweating

I’m sweating to celebrate and uplift my Rainbow whānau

Why I’m Sweating with Pride

I'm taking on Sweat with Pride this June! 💦🌈

Right now, schools, workplaces, and even doctors’ offices aren’t safe for many in our community—and it’s putting lives at risk. LGBTQIA+ Kiwis face higher rates of mental illness, suicide, and STIs like syphilis, mpox, and HIV.

So, I'm fighting discrimination with perspiration—exercising 21 minutes every day in June to raise money for life-changing Rainbow support services.

This cause means the world to me, and I’d be SO grateful if you could chip in to help me reach my goal. Every dollar makes a difference.

Big drive tonight after the end of conference so did a short late night stroll to the beach in Lennox Head on our way back to Brisbane. The beach is lit up by the moon in this picture!

I'm at a conference in Armidale, NSW this week which is making it tricky to fit in exercise. Today's mission was a brisk walk in veeeery cold University of New England campus. Saw lots of kangaroos at dusk.

Awesome session tonight at the gym doing arms & back with a bit of core. Off to Oz tomorrow for work so gonna have to make a big effort to exercise while I'm away!

Started the day well with a couple short walks but by evening not feeling well so decided to stay in & get an early night. Have banked a few sessions longer than 60 mins om previous days so still meeting my goal. Hopefully back to normal tomorrow!

Did some outdoor chores in the garden & then an hour up at the gym on the treadmill & strength training the old butt & back. Feeling strong!

Today I did a 5.8km brisk walk along the river towards the ocean in the Hawkes Bay. Beautiful winter morning. Enjoyed walking past the vineyards & apple orchards.
