Been a while since posts but I've been keeping up my daily exercise goals & have officially hit my fundraising goal today too. Wahoo! Thanks so much for all the generous support- it really means so much.
This is my 3rd

Iβm sweating to celebrate and uplift my Rainbow whΔnau

Why Iβm Sweating with Pride
I'm taking on Sweat with Pride this June! π¦π
Right now, schools, workplaces, and even doctorsβ offices arenβt safe for many in our communityβand itβs putting lives at risk. LGBTQIA+ Kiwis face higher rates of mental illness, suicide, and STIs like syphilis, mpox, and HIV.
So, I'm fighting discrimination with perspirationβexercising 60 minutes every day in June to raise money for life-changing Rainbow support services.
This cause means the world to me, and Iβd be SO grateful if you could chip in to help me reach my goal. Every dollar makes a difference.
Thank you so much for your support! β€οΈ

Took 2 walks today & then the courier showed up with my Sweat with Pride jumper so off to the gym I went for a leg sesh.
Long day in the office & late kid bed times so squeezed in a late evening home strength & mobility work outπͺΒ
Walked to & from physio (still rehabbing my back) & then did a nice long evening walk with a friend. Cracked over 16,500 steps today!Β
Took a lunch time walk in the rain, went for a night walk to spot bugs with the kids & then hit the gym. Nice active day!
Took to the ngahere with the whΔnau today. Walked up many stairs in the Hakarimata to the look out...but it was fogged in!
Attended the Kirikiriroa rally against the Woman/Man Bill which was pretty emotional but so beautiful. Spent the afternoon wheelbarrowing mulch in the garden!
Friday long work day but managed to squeeze in a walk.
Lots of movement today. Walked Izzy to school in the frost, took a lunchtime walk & then a good long lower body sesh at the gym tonight.
Took an early walk - just 2 degrees! Ended the day with a home strength & mobility session.
Another gym sesh - this time smashing out an upper body sesh. Also took a very chilly walk in the morning βοΈ
Back feeling a bit less munted so lower body day it is! Also took two walks during the day.
Sunday morning woke up early so did an hour's walk in the dark, was lovely watching the light start to arrive. A couple hours spent in the garden too, definitely sweaty!
3km walk/chase around the university in between squalls. Will get a little home workout in tonight too.
Upper body sesh with a fellow Sweat with Pride friend πͺ
Unfortunately my back is still very painful so I stuck with cardio today. Took a power walk at lunchtime & then an incline power walk on the treadmill tonight followed by some foam rolling. Hopefully can hit the weights again soon!
My old back injury is playing up & causing all sorts of havoc today so decided a power walk was the best option for Day 3. Forgot to take a pic for evidence!
Had acupuncture for my back today so a bit woozy - but still managed a solid lower body sesh tonight πͺ
Day 1 kickstarted with a walk on the first day of winter - and my birthday! Thanks for the support π
