Yesterday was the first date all month we missed a daytime walk. Made up for it today with the extended river walk, and saw a dear old friend, Hi Tracy!
My doggo and I are walking 100km for Rainbow Kiwis – can you help us?
Right now, many rainbow Kiwis still face discrimination and unsafe environments in schools, workplaces, and even healthcare—and it’s putting lives at risk. LGBTQIA+ Kiwis experience higher rates of mental illness, suicide, and barriers to accessing the support they deserve.
So this October, my doggo and I are putting our paws to the pavement—walking 100km together for Pride Unleashed—to raise money for life-changing Rainbow support services.
This cause means the world to me, and I’d be so grateful if you could chip in to help us reach our goal. Every dollar makes a difference and helps create a safer, kinder Aotearoa for our Rainbow whānau.

Willow walk yesterday after dinner to avoid the rain then a nice long walk up the maitai this morning. Everything was so lush and green after the rain.
Up the western tracks today. Lots of fun for little dogs especially being chased by a cute and speedy border terrier.
Such a beautiful day for a walk with the best dog and a great play list (Phyllis Dillon and Petunia and the Vipers ❤️)
A lovely walk around the willows yesterday then today down the river at high tide. Luna was "at work" so didn't join me today.
Rainy days so quick walks between showers. The highlight was Queens Gardens with Mum today. I forgot to take photos so here's one of us at home!
Beautiful day for the ma-hoos-ive Grampians hill followed by coffee and caramel slice of course!

A nice morning walk at the beach, with big weather coming in. We didn't get rained on though.
The weather was awful so our walks were between rain showers. The blossoms were amazing though.
Funny old weather today but we did two walks in between rain showers. And saw ducklings, aiyeeeee!

Busy day at work so a quick loop around the river had to do.
Up the steep NW spur track and down the shared walking/biking track. So far we've done a different walk every day. How long can we keep that up I wonder?
Rainy yesterday so we did most of our walking today. Up over the C of NZ and then alongside Branford Park and back home via the river.
Rainy today so we did the Willow Walk to avoid muddy paws.
The happiest little dog breathing in the salty sea air and occasionally rolling in the sand.
We beat the rain with a quick blat up and down the hill this morning. Followed by coffee of course.
Or should that be river sniffies...plenty of distractions along the Maitai today.
