We are the Board of Burnett Foundation Aotearoa – and we’re lacing up, stretching out, and sweating it out with Pride.
We’re not just here to talk governance and strategy – we’re here to walk the walk, run the run, and plank for progress. This June, we’re stepping out of the boardroom and into our gym gear, because we believe that health equity, inclusion, and community well-being require more than policies – they need participation.
We sweat because we care.
Every drop of sweat we give is for the thousands of LGBTQIA+ people across Aotearoa who deserve access to affirming, inclusive, and life-saving health services.
We sweat with purpose.
The funds raised through Sweat with Pride go directly to initiatives that reduce health disparities, support mental wellbeing, and strengthen rainbow communities. That’s work we stand behind – and now, work we’ll squat behind too.
We sweat with Pride.
As a governance board, we are proud to represent and serve a community rooted in resilience, love, and diversity. Participating in this challenge is our way of showing solidarity, visibility, and yes – even vulnerability (especially during burpees).
We sweat together.
Because Pride is powerful. Because movement is medicine. Because we believe that leadership means showing up in every way that matters – including Lycra.
