Why we’re Sweating with Pride
We’re the Richter City B Team — and we’re here to sweat, slam, and support!
We’re walking, running, hitting the gym and lacing up our skates and hitting the track with pride — not just for the love of derby, but for our queer whānau across Aotearoa who need life-saving support.
This Sweat with Pride, we’re raising funds to help provide essential healthcare, mental health services, and community programs for LGBTTQIAP+ folks — because everyone deserves to thrive, not just survive.
Roller derby has long been a fierce and fearless space for queer and gender-diverse athletes, and we wouldn’t be who we are without our gender queer skaters. Their strength, resilience, and joy are core to our league and our sport. They belong on the track, in our teams, and in every part of this community.
