Why I’m Sweating with Pride

I'm taking on Sweat with Pride this June! 💦🌈

Right now, schools, workplaces, and even doctors’ offices aren’t safe for many in our community—and it’s putting lives at risk. LGBTQIA+ Kiwis face higher rates of mental illness, suicide, and STIs like syphilis, mpox, and HIV.

So, I'm fighting discrimination with perspiration—exercising 20 minutes every day in June to raise money for life-changing Rainbow support services.

This cause means the world to me, and I’d be SO grateful if you could chip in to help me reach my goal. Every dollar makes a difference.

SWP WEEK 1

with the first week of sweat with pride coming to a close I thought I would cover all the sweating I've been doing this week. On Sunday I started off strong with my horse riding. On Monday I used the Les mills videos to exercise using a dance video and then stretching my glutes. Tuesday was more of a rest day but I got a walk of around a Kilometre uphill in. Wednesday I had a fun Cardio- boxing session with my mum and also stretching my abs. Thursday I worked on weight lifting and functional strength. I found a helpful top for me this week was listing to music which helped me enjoy what I was doing. Today is Friday and I plan to do some Stretching work.
