Why I’m Sweating with Pride
I'm taking on Sweat with Pride this June! 💦🌈
I need to sort myself out and sweating for a good cause seems like a great opportunity to do so!
Right now, schools, workplaces, and even doctors’ offices aren’t safe for many in our community—and it’s putting lives at risk. LGBTQIA+ Kiwis face higher rates of mental illness, suicide, and STIs like syphilis, mpox, and HIV.
So, I'm fighting discrimination with perspiration—exercising 60 minutes every day in June to raise money for life-changing Rainbow support services.
This cause means the world to me, and I’d be SO grateful if you could chip in to help me reach my goal. Every dollar makes a difference.
I'm suggesting a dollar per kg that I plan to / need to lose to give me a contract that I cannot break with you... so $5 will oblige me to lose 5kg this month and $30 will oblige me to keep going for however long it takes to lose the 30kg I need to lose.

Screenshot of the actual exercise today, whilst I try and remove the extra 620 hours that Strava gave me!

Accidentally clocked up 10 Hours today by pausing a Strava walk throughout the cause of the day (planning to clock up 60 mins overall), but the Strava integration brought over all of the time working, on trains and busses inbetween the walking!! Won’t do that again. Think I earnt my dinner though.
