What is the difference between my dashboard and my fundraising page?
Your Dashboard is a private area where you can log your exercise, view the progress you've made towards your exercise goal and fundraising goal, and see your achievements. Think of it like your own control panel!
Your fundraising page (aka profile) is a public page and is what you should share with your friends & whānau. Think of this like your Facebook or Instagram profile.
How do I share my fundraising page?
Sign in, visit your fundraising page, and select the icons to share to all the popular social networks like Facebook, Instagram and Threads to share your fundraising page – or copy the link to send it in a message, email or however you’d like!
Sweating
Why 21 minutes a day?
21 minutes a day is the minimum amount of moderate physical activity recommended by the Ministry of Health to enjoy some (or all) of these great benefits:
- More energy
- Better posture and balance
- Stronger muscles and bones
- Better sleep
- Lower stress
How should I sweat?
Walk, run, wheel, dance – the choice is up to you! Sweat with Pride isn’t about getting ‘ripped’ or changing your body in any way, it’s just about challenging yourself to incorporate a bit more movement into your day. And if movement or exercise isn’t something you’re keen or able to do, you can pick another challenge! Maybe enjoy 21 minutes of fresh air every day, or reading, or meditation!
How do I track my sweat minutes?
You'll find a sweat tracker on your dashboard, where you can add your activity. Or, connect with Strava, Fitbit, or Garmin, and exercise activity from your app will automatically sync through to your profile on Sweat with Pride!
What if I am unable to exercise?
If movement or exercise isn’t something you’re able to do, you can pick another challenge! Maybe enjoy 21 minutes of fresh air every day, or reading, or meditation!
Can I change my sweat goal after I sign up?
Yes! You can adjust your daily goal up or down at any time via the sweat tracker on your dashboard.
Fundraising
How do I raise money?
People visit your fundraising page and make a donation via credit card. The amount that they donate is then added to your fundraising total.
How do I ask for donations?
There are heaps of handy fundraising tips and resources to help you out! You can find them on your dashboard or on the Resources page.
I’ve qualified for a reward, but I haven’t received it yet – what do I do?
To reduce our carbon footprint, and because we love to save our pennies, any rewards you earn will be bundled (eg. Tee, Pride Pin) and mailed out together. First up, make sure you have claimed your rewards via your dashboard, and don't forget to make sure your mailing address is correct!
We usually send out rewards every week or so.
I’ve reached my goal – now what?
Well done on reaching your goal – now raise it! Raising your goal is a great way to encourage even more people to donate to your page. You can raise your fundraising goal via your dashboard as many times as you like.
What is a VIB?
VIBs, or Very Important Bettys are a super special group of fundraisers who have raised $1000 or more. VIBs receive a personalised medal at the end of the challenge, and you’ll be immortalised in the Sweat with Pride halls of fame! So why not shoot for the stars and raise your goal to $1000!
Teams & Workplaces
What is a team and how do I start one?
Teaming up for Sweat with Pride is a wonderful way to stay motivated, share fundraising tips, and even sweat together! You can sweat as a team even if you’re not in the same place – everyone logs their own fundraising and minutes sweated, and it all counts towards your team’s success!
Setting up a team is easy. Once you’ve signed up to Sweat with Pride, log in to your dashboard and scroll down to the Team Up section.
What types of teams are there?
When you create a team, you can choose from one of three team types:

Each team type has a unique page layout and logo border style, and there is a separate leaderboard for each team type.
How do I invite people to join my team?
As a team captain, when you sign in to your dashboard, you'll have access to pre-written emails and messages that you can send out to invite people to join your team on Sweat with Pride. Or, simply share your page's URL with them and they can click "Join Team" and sign up for Sweat with Pride right away!
How do I join a team?
The quickest way to join a team is to visit the team's page and click "Join Team". If you are already signed up for Sweat with Pride and logged in, this takes two clicks and you're done!
If you are not yet signed up, you will begin the signup process and automatically become a member of the team once you have completed your registration.
Can I leave a team that I have joined?
The quickest way to leave a team is to join another one! This is because you can only be a member of one team at a time. If you want to leave teams altogether and just take part solo, email us for help.
