Why Iβm Sweating with Pride
Kia ora koutou! I'm Dan, the top fundraiser of Sweat With Pride from 2025, back to put myself to work to help make a difference for our rainbow folk most in need.Β
I take part in Sweat With Pride for a lot of reasons. Many of us don't get taught what it means to be part of the rainbow community, nor are we equipped with the tools to move forward in life and navigate the complex and unique challenges we face.Β
Most of all, I know far too many don't have the support they need and feel the world is better off without them. As long as even one person feels this way about themselves, there's work to be done, and I'm prepared to do that work for however long it takes.
Whether it's schools, workplaces, our wider community, every single rainbow person deserves to be safe, supported, and celebrated. I won't rest until we're there.
I'm taking part for my 5th year in a row to continue contributing to the amazing life-saving services we have here in Aotearoa for rainbow folk. I'll be challenging myself more than ever to make a difference. It'd mean the absolute world to me to have your support once again.Β
