One last lap (well, lap-and-a-half) around the lake for completeness' sake. I did it!

Why I’m Sweating with Pride
I'm taking on Sweat with Pride this June! 💦🌈
Right now, schools, workplaces, and even doctors’ offices aren’t safe for many in our community—and it’s putting lives at risk. LGBTQIA+ Kiwis face higher rates of mental illness, suicide, and STIs like syphilis, mpox, and HIV.
So, I'm fighting discrimination with perspiration—exercising 60 minutes every day in June to raise money for life-changing Rainbow support services.
This cause means the world to me, and I’d be SO grateful if you could chip in to help me reach my goal. Every dollar makes a difference.
Thank you so much for your support! ❤️

Out and about today, but the main thing is that I managed to reach my sweat goal. One more day to go!

Just some light wandering today :)

Had to call short tonight's walk as injuries were playing up, but the good news is that this was still enough to put me over my sweat goal of 1800 minutes of exercise this month! Thanks everyone for all your support on this journey. I'm not sure what to do from here, I do think that I need to give my legs a bit of a chance to heal, but I'm open to suggestions for the last few days.

Album of the day: Pendulum - In Silico Small improvement on yesterday, but still an improvement. Four days to go!

Absolutely smashed it today with an average speed of over 23kph (closer to 24 if we weren't including the last 5 mins of cooldown). Really pleased with this.

Did 23km on the bike today in 65 minutes (including cooldown), and then another 1.8km walking, adding another 24 mins. Almost there!

One more week to go! Today was again a pretty gentle one as I wait for that injury to heal, but it was nice to get out nonetheless.

I finally caved and got a gym membership, focusing on stationary bike and elliptical today as lower impact alternatives to walking. Hope everyone is having a great long weekend <3

Still trying to let the shin splints heal a bit, so walking on the soft (wet, cold..) grass it is, and taking it a little easier speed-wise. Don't want to risk a stress fracture, but rest assured I'm still putting in the time! 🦵💦

I am just overwhelmed by all the support, I can't believe we made it to $1k! The informal RG team I'm a part of are also #3 for friends and whānau teams, which is awesome!! Mānawatia a Matariki e hoa ma <3

ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED 💪

Not the fastest today as I had company, but will do some more a little later on. In the meantime, donation matching is still going! I'm really close to my $1000 goal and with the matching it'd only take a few small donations to get me there!

Today was 4.74km, 76 move minutes just walking around doing errands. But tomorrow is important! All donations will be doubled from 8am up to $60k! Get in quick, because the pool runs out fast!

45 mins walking and 22 mins swimming laps today. I'm now 60% of the way to my sweat goal! Thanks everyone for your support. 🥰

Forgot to take any pics, but I think this is my fastest 6k so far by a fair margin. Maybe I was subconsciously making up for yesterday's comparatively leisurely stroll haha. Does of course help that this route was almost completely flat, but still! Half way there!

Just a nice afternoon walk around the gardens with my partner. Didn't go particularly fast or anything, but sometimes it's nice to spend more time and have a look around. :)

Happy Friday the 13th! My best k today was 10:06, definitely getting faster. :)

Hills still suck lol

Had a poor mental health day yesterday so didn't manage to get out, but was back at it today, with a half hour swim, and a half hour and then some walking.

Getting close to that 6 minute k! Stopped for a few minutes to help someone so the actual active time was 66 mins, which is what I've logged.

Just an easy walk around the neighbourhood this evening :)

I also swam today, but it didn't feel sweaty enough so did a cheeky 6k walk home from the Greens budget event in the CBD tonight. Mauri ora!

Today I had some errands to run, so made the most of it with 23 mins of walking around Chartwell and The Base (which would've been longer in truth but I'm putting what I remembered to record in google fit rather than guessing and risking short-changing ya). Then another walk around the neighbourhood parks this evening which was 52 mins as you see above. I was too busy to remember pics earlier in the day and this evening it was too dark, apologies! Will make up for it tomorrow, I'm sure. 😊

Today was give my poor feet a break day. 😅 I spent 34 minutes at the outdoor gym at the lake doing strength exercises, practiced at home my bokken (wooden sword) and jo (staff) kata from my aikido days (registered as karate/judo/tae kwon do as that was the closest option), and cooled down with another few minutes of stretches and body weight exercises. According to Google Fit I spent 62 move minutes for 81 heart points, and totalled 2248 steps today. Not a lot of distance progress to report, but plenty of sweat nonetheless. I'll take it. 😌

The weather sucked, so a friend kindly buzzed me in to the gym. Hill mode ofc. 💪 My feet are so sore. 😭

The climb sucks, but you can't deny that view.

Just a cheeky sunset walk around the lake ✌🏻🌇
