I'm a first timer Sweat with Prider...here's why I'm backing the kaupapa! 💪🌈
I am an out and proud queer person and am so grateful to live freely as my whole self. But it wasn't always this way for me, I didn't come out until my mid 20s. For many of our rainbow whānau, they still aren't safe to live openly as their fullest, most authentic selves.
During my journey, I was very lucky to receive support from Rainbow Youth, one of the organisations I am fundraising for. It is my hope that *all* queer rangatahi in Aotearoa receive the specialised medical, social, cultural, spiritual, and mental health support they need to live their best, queerest, most liberated lives.
That's why I'm sweating with Pride this June. ❤️🏳️🌈
