We’re taking on Sweat with Pride this June to raise money for Aotearoa’s Rainbow communities! 🌈
At Student Volunteer Army VUW, we believe in rolling up our sleeves and taking action for causes that matter, and this one hits close to home.
Aotearoa's schools, workplaces, and healthcare services are still not safe for many Rainbow New Zealanders, and that puts lives at risk.
💔 More than half of our rainbow whānau have experienced mental illness.
💔 1 in 5 rainbow rangatahi have attempted suicide.
💔 STIs like syphilis, mpox, and HIV are still affecting our communities far too often.
That’s why this June, we’re fighting discrimination with perspiration. SVA members are committing to at least 21 minutes of movement every day — to sweat with purpose and fund life-changing services for Rainbow Kiwis.
As a club rooted in service, compassion, and community leadership, we’re proud to stand with our Rainbow whānau.
If you’re in a position to help, we’d be incredibly grateful for your support. Every dollar raised will go toward improving mental, physical, and sexual health outcomes for Rainbow New Zealanders.
