This is my second year sweating

I’m sweating for life-changing Rainbow support services

Why I’m Sweating with Pride

Last year was so fun, we're going in for round two (and raising the stakes) 🌈

I'm fighting discrimination with perspiration—exercising 42 minutes every day in June to raise money for life-changing Rainbow support services. This is such a great cause, providing access to healthcare and support for people who are often left behind.

This cause means the world to me, and I’d be SO grateful if you could chip in to help me reach my goal. Every dollar makes a difference.

And in true go hard or go home fashion, if you donate $30 + to my campaign, you have the power to pick one workout I have to do sometime in June. We're starting early, so you've got two months to come up with your best plan to make me regret my life choices. It could be a step/km goal, follow a particular YouTube workout vid, a dance marathon to the song/artist of your choice, a yoga session if you need me to take a chill pill...

The only hard and fast rule is NO BURPEES! (And nothing that requires highly specialised equipment.. if it can't be done at home/in public/at the regular old gym, it ain't happening). I promise to update you on my endeavours along the way.

Thank you so much for your support! ❤️

Who has time for blogging?

Apparently me, when I’m awake but getting up might give Leo the idea that an early breakfast is something we do these days. I have to say, June is going by in a whirlwind and it’s taking a little more creativity this year to make sure I get my daily minutes in - even if that means a 10pm session in the lounge. I went for a run on Monday before work (honestly, who is she??) and it was a great way to warm up before settling back into ice cube form for the rest of the day. My mission for the second half of the month is setting an actual plan to do more fun activities rather than squeezing the time in where I can fit it. We’ll see how that plays out…

Week one roundup

Turns out 42 minutes is an awkward amount of time when my attention span seems to be 30 for most activities… so I’m making up the extra minutes with bonus walks most days. I hit the coastal path Rothesay Bay to Takapuna over a couple of days (over the cliffs, no cheating with low tides), looking to travel further afield next weekend. Killing it with the challenges you’ve set for me so far… a Disney HIIT workout ticked off David’s squats and Erin’s illegal burpee (did three just to spite her) and I climbed Vanessa (via Jarrod)’s stairs three times with an extra lap for good luck. Took it a little easier today to give the legs a rest with a spot of yoga. Hoping to get back to a dance class tomorrow, but we’ll see if the muscles are up to it. Thanks to all my lovely sponsors, you’re top humans and I hope I’m doing you proud! 💜

Day one - SWP On Tour 📍

Sunday 1 June 2025

Finally June is here and time to get moving for a cause!

Day one was always going to be a bit of a mission as it was a road trip day, but it was the perfect excuse to get out and explore a 5km stretch of the path around Lake Taupo. Might even have jogged a section or three to really make it count.
Thanks for your support and generous donations to this awesome cause - I’ll try to keep the updates semi regular to hold up my end of the bargain 😉
