Last day of the month so last day of sweating! This has been an awesome challenge for myself and I feel very proud to have accomplished it - hit $$ goal, hit sweat goal and hit do it every day goal! I am so pleased I could help support our incredible rainbow whanua along with everyone else who has done the challenge and donated - every single one of you are amazing and should be proud of coming together π
This is my first year sweating
Iβm sweating to challenge myself, boost my wellbeing, and support a great cause!
Why Iβm Sweating with Pride
I'm taking on Sweat with Pride this June! π¦π
Right now, schools, workplaces, and even doctorsβ offices arenβt safe for many in our communityβand itβs putting lives at risk. LGBTQIA+ Kiwis face higher rates of mental illness, suicide, and STIs like syphilis, mpox, and HIV.
So, I'm fighting discrimination with perspirationβexercising 21 minutes every day in June to raise money for life-changing Rainbow support services.
This cause means the world to me, and Iβd be SO grateful if you could chip in to help me reach my goal. Every dollar makes a difference.
Thank you so much for your support! β€οΈ

2nd to last day! No rain this morning and no real plans for this Sunday so happy all round!

It was raining today! Got this in before a round trip to Hawks Bay for work! Getting closer to my week of leave π€©

slightly later hiko again this morning and coffee was had first. Happy Fri-Yay

Bit of a sleep in this morning so had coffee first and then walk. Bit warmer later in the morning and more sun out π

Decent weather on my hiko this morning. These walks are a good way to start the day!

Nice and wrapped up this morning and did a little bit extra π happy Tuesday!

Bit of a shower on the hiko this morning but nothing too bad π

Domestics and getting ready for the week ahead is what got the sweat minutes up today before the children are home from their adventures!

I have hit my sweat with pride sweat minute target!! 630 completed! And tracking over that! However there is still 9 more days left of June so will keep going daily till the end!

No rain and not cold thos morning! Now to get kids ready for their plans for today plus prep the brain to people this evening at grad, excited to see my student preform!

Slightly later morning hiko and managed to miss rain so yay! Have a blessed Matariki all π

Morning hiko not as chilly today and had some pretty skies to look at :)

Fran-G-Panties have hit the $1000 goal!!!! We are stocked but bigger is better so we will keep pushing to make the group and our individual ones still more!! Massive thank you to everyone who had donated so far and good work team for keeping the sweat up daily! Will keep pushing through till the last day! It's dollar match day so if your yet to sooner but want to do it today!

Chilly this morning with a bit of frost so yet another scarf and some fingy gloves plus warm jacket :) It's dollar match from 8am this morning till the 60k runs out so today is a great day to sponsor!

Up and out of the house when my 7am alarm went off for my morning hiko. Now time for coffee!

Half an hour to sweep the leave out of carport/driveway area π

Was inside things yesterday so outside things today! Again around an hour mowing lawns this time π

Its Saturday and sunny so about an hour worth if housework done!

Nice morning hiko before coffee and work things! It's my neice/god-daughters sweet 16th bday today! Amazing how time flies!!!

Morning hiko with a different scarf again! Haha not to chilly this morning and even was too warm by the end! As I've hit my donation goal of $300 but want to keep getting more but my teams goal is still to be achieved of $1000 I will put both links on my social media posts going forward to keep pushing to achive the next donation goal for our whole team!

I've hit my personal fundraising target! But that doesn't mean I'm gonna stop and rest on my lorals, if I can get over that amount by the end of June would be amazing! Our team Fran-G-Panties are also now over half way to our target goal of $1000 so please help us reach this by sponsoring our team or one of the team mates! https://www.sweatwithpride.com/fundraisers/frangpanties

Morning hiko with yet a different scarf today haha now coffee Tim's ready for busy day π

Not as cold this morning as yesterday! Now to drop a kid to school, have coffee and do work things :)

It was cold this morning on my hiko! But dedication to the cause prevailed haha the being in bed and possibly asleep before 9pm may have helped as well haha

Wee walk on the Linton track made it to the lookout and saw eels! Sadly the Fran-G-Panties couldnt all join! Only a bit of spitting and did have a mad child by the end but Mr Liam and I had a good time π Also exciting announcement I've hit over $200 mark for sponsorship! Almost at my $300 target so a huge thank you to all that have donated thus far! Every little bit help!

Morning walk, bit of drizzle ans my headphone died but not an issue π

Alarm went off, got woken up then off for the hiko! Now make sure kids are ready, and have coffee π

Is complete with a morning walk around the block before getting stuck in to work for the day :)

Running errands all day working up a sweat! Plating catch up after being away a day for work!

So had a whole day in Auckland for bargaining and still achieved some sweat! Will be home by 10pm tonight!

Morning walk around the block today!

Walked around the block after helping out at our local community event te potitini that had some amazing kapa haha performances, food trucks and our union stall helping get RSB submissions in plus giving union info! Definitely hit my 21min goal π
My working background has been hospo mainly did do some aged care house keeping as well. So most jobs have had a level of physical activeness involved plus I've done some burlesque for the past 3/4 years. When I became a union organizer (for hospo workers would you believe) the physical side or work dropped. I'm 2 years in and I'm feeling and seeing the change of less activity so thought this would be a good way to get my A into G as I think there will be a physical and mental wellbeing result which would be super. Plus I have so much aroha for our rainbow whanua that this just seems like the right thing to do and good timing. I donate to mental health monthy as well which I know alot or the rainbow community can suffer with so I think this just all helps build to get a better future for all especially as I have kids and what ever there choices are in the future I want them to feel supported. So I want to lead by example and aim to be a decent role model.
