Why I’m Sweating with Pride

I'm taking on Sweat with Pride this June! 💦🌈

Right now, schools, workplaces, and even doctors’ offices aren’t safe for many in our community—and it’s putting lives at risk. LGBTQIA+ Kiwis face higher rates of mental illness, suicide, and STIs like syphilis, mpox, and HIV.

So, I'm fighting discrimination with perspiration—exercising 60 minutes every day in June to raise money for life-changing Rainbow support services.

This cause means the world to me, and I’d be SO grateful if you could chip in to help me reach my goal. Every dollar makes a difference.

Donation Goal Met! (and Exceeded!)

It’s only June 5th and we’ve already doubled the initial goal! Thank you so very much to everyone who contributed during dollar match day! The budget for donation matching has been exhausted already, but don’t let that stop you if you still want to donate (or you can wait for the next one)!


As well as surpassing my personal goal, the Xero NZ team has raised $3,666 so far! That’s just about 75% of our $5,000 goal already! We’ve still got 25 days left, so let’s see how far we can take it!

To reflect all the support I’ve gotten, I’m upping my sweating goal to 60 minutes a day! I may have to make up for lost time a little here and there (I only got 53 minutes in on Tuesday, for example) but I’ll do my level best!
