Iโm sweating for life-changing Rainbow support services
Iโm taking on Sweat with Pride this June! ๐ฆ๐
This one means a lot to me.
Iโve been the recipient of life-saving services for Rainbow folx โ and now itโs my turn to give back. โค๏ธ
Over the past 12-ish months, Iโve been on a pretty big health journey. Iโve been working to reverse some of the impacts of what I call โThe Cancer Periodโ โ a journey thatโs stretched across the past 12 years.
I still live with the ongoing effects of that time, but Iโve worked really hard with my team to come off an incredible amount of medication that was part of my recovery. One of the unexpected gifts of that has been being able to lose weight with real focus, feel more like myself again, and start getting my life back to a place where I feel healthy, happy and more me. โจ
Now that Iโve lost a bunch of weight, Iโm taking on 21 minutes of exercise every day in June to push my fitness to the next level โ while raising money for life-changing Rainbow support services. ๐ช๐
Right now, schools, workplaces and even doctorsโ offices still arenโt safe for many in our communities โ and that puts lives at risk. LGBTQIA+ Kiwis face higher rates of mental illness, suicide, and STIs like syphilis, mpox and HIV.
So this June, Iโm fighting discrimination with perspiration. ๐ฆ
This cause genuinely means the world to me, and Iโd be so grateful if you could chip in to help me reach my goal. Every dollar makes a difference โ and helps make sure Rainbow folx can access the support, care and services they deserve.
